Our Ciderworks
We use only the best heritage and modern apple varieties in our handcrafted all-natural ciders. Our farmstead cidery uses locally sourced, hand-picked fruit exclusively from Upstate NY. Rootstock benefits from its proximity to Lake Ontario, which contributes a deep sense of place to our ciders.
Our cidermaking approach is influenced by both old-world and new-world winemaking techniques. Over time, these ideas have been developed specifically for cidermaking by our team. We draw on our background as growers and makers to craft ciders that offer a true expression of local fruit and the land on which it is grown.

Original Hard Cider
Original Hard Cider is a semi-sweet cider crafted from locally grown New York State dessert apples. Its yellow sapphire color gives way to intriguing apple and banana aromas. Dry Hard Cider
Dry Hard Cider is a dry cider celebration of fermentation character. The fruit forward nature of the other Rootstock ciders takes a back seat to the bread and yeasty aromas found in this classic cider. Complex like Brut Champagne yet drinkable like a fine craft beer.

At Rootstock, we believe that when cider say’s its rosé, it should taste like a rosé! Where many other brands choose to use colorings, we blend real wine into our cider, to combine our signature cider flavors with the bright, summery profile of sparkling rosé wines.

Plum Hard Cider
One of our very first fruited ciders, Rootstock Plum is seasonally available, and combines the tart, bright flavors of our estate-produced hard cider with rich, summery flavors of fresh plums. Great balance of sweet and tart on the finish will have you going back for more!

Hopped Hard Cider
Hopped Hard Cider is a semi-dry cider made from estate grown Crispin apples and locally grown Cascade hops.
