We wanted to update our dedicated customers and supporters and let you know we are still open and are following the new state regulations that have been put in place. Come visit us Friday through Sunday from 12 – 6 pm.
We’re sure you’re aware of the recent New York State Mandate requiring a food purchase to be made along with alcoholic beverage orders. If you’re not familiar with the mandate or are wondering how we’re handling it – keep reading!
What Does the Mandate Say?
This new mandate does not allow establishments with liquor licenses such as restaurants, taverns, manufacturers with tasting rooms (us), etc. to serve alcoholic beverages unless the order is accompanied by the purchase of a food item. The goal of the mandate is to limit crowds that tend to arise in a bar service/drinking only environment.
Here at Rootstock, we’ve taken great care to ensure that all social distancing guidelines and requirements are being upheld to keep both you, our customers, and our staff safe and healthy. We also are taking this new mandate, as well as any future mandates that may come, seriously for everyone’s wellbeing.
So How Are We Handling This?
As we said before, our number one priority is to keep everyone here at Rootstock safe, both employees and customers. This past Friday, July 17th, when the mandate was put in place and to stay compliant with the state, we started and will continue to require food purchases to be made with the initial purchases of alcoholic beverages.
We will be providing a variety of food items, along with the same friendly, country atmosphere you know and love!

If you haven’t had a chance to visit us this season, or are just looking for another excuse to visit again, we want you to know we’re waiting with open arms (6 feet away, of course)! Our hours are Friday through Sunday from 12 – 6pm. We have ample outdoor space on our patio, as well as some seating inside our tasting room. As always, feel free to bring your own lawn chair and games to set up and enjoy outside as well. We ask that you bring setup 6 feet apart from other patrons, wear a mask when not in your seat, and of course Enjoy Yourselves!
