Meredith Pyke Joins Rootstock Cider & Spirits as Tasting Room Manager
September 15, 2020, Williamson, NY – Rootstock Cider & Spirits, a family-owned cidery and spirits distillery is pleased to announce the hiring of their new tasting room manager, Meredith Pyke. In addition to managing the tasting room staff, her responsibilities include prioritizing customer service, promoting online and in-store retail, and ensuring COVID-19 regulations are met.
“We are excited to bring Meredith on – she is a welcome addition to our team,” says Luke DeFisher, family member and cider maker. “Not only did her background make her a great candidate, but her personality and desire to make our daily operations accessible and pleasurable for our guests was exactly what we were looking for”.
“I realize how important it is both to the business and our supporters to keep the tasting room open and compliant with the state’s guidelines”, says Meredith, “which is why I have made it such a priority to ensure the cleanliness and safety of the space by implementing various measures, such as temperature checks upon entrance”.
Meredith, a Philadelphia native, has been in Rochester for 11 years. Originally here to attend school at the University of Rochester, she stayed in the area to continue her career in hospitality. When she’s not working, you can find Meredith playing and coaching rugby, hiking the Adirondacks, or enjoying Rootstock’s Original Cider.
